I noticed (rather immediately) that you merged this using a merge commit instead of a squashed commit. Apparently, the default commit message given to a merge commit does not follow Conventional Commit specifications. This patch will show up in the CHANGELOG as
I have disabled the ability to use merge commits when merging any PR. This restriction was already enforced in the rule set for the main branch, but I guess merge commits are not explicitly forbidden when linear history is required. FYI, the commits for this branch will also show up in the chasngelog because of the merge commit.
